The Pinto family has a long history here, having settled in Nairobi at the turn of the last century, where Felix and Jane Pinto, the founders of Micato Safaris in Kenya, still oversee the daily operations. When you go on safari with Micato you are booking not only a safari programme, you are sharing our family's long years of experience and the joy that can come only from a lifetime of living in this glorious land. Micato has fully-staffed offices and resident personnel throughout Kenya and Tanzania and Southern Africa. Should a concern or question arise, a Micato representative is available to meet the traveller in person. To see this unique and splendid land with a foreign operator is to visit as a tourist - to share your time with Micato is to experience the true soul of our land, to become for ever a part of the glorious spirit that is Africa, our home. We devote much of our time to planning programmes for some of the world's finest companies and we are pleased that referrals from one satisfied client to another makes up a large portion of our business. Micato is not a foreign operator who simply ships groups in and is never available to either the traveller or the resort management. We are here, in Africa, with both the traveller and management alike. We have known the managers of each venue personally, probably most of our lives. We belong to the private clubs and frequent the restaurants and resorts, and are in constant personal contact with our travellers as they travel.
